....She's my favorite artist. Ever. Of all time. I have three of her cd's.

And it's Miss.

The same complaint can be said of screeching screamers in metal bands. Neutral

Well, I hate screamers in metal bands. Vocals - in my opinion - if rough or screaming must be used occasionally, when needed as an accentation of a certain point of the song. The generes of metal, and some metal bands that base their career on screamo & growl are hard for me to swallow. With some exceptions, but still. I like clean, strong & expressive vocalists - no matter of the genre, but clasic HR, AOR or HM provides them in a lot.

But Miss Morissette's vocals I can't endure. She comes up with some nice melodies, compositions are often decent, from what was forced upon me to listen, but her voice... is just one of these things that make me go mad - in a proper meaning of this word.

What grind my gears - I've got a little fever, but still nasty enough to be an annoyance. I bet that's Miss Morisette's dosage that was served to me Very Happy.

My cat ran away for half an hour.

I let her out today for the 3rd or 4th time ever so she could explore our garden/yard. She jumped on a fence and went in someone's garden/yard. The evil cat hating witch used her evil cat hating magic and she ran off.

And I worried. And then she came back.

That old lady. She's got a real hate of cats. She tried to hit my cat. I hope she hasn't got long.

No I mean that.

Wow... really? What a mean lady... I think I understand you in some sort of way because that's something that really grinds my gears: animal abusers. There are so many people people out there, not caring for other creatures feelings...

That way they'll never promote reading!
Yeah, I had that last Saturday in our local Saturn (big German/Austrian electronics retailer) store - they played what must have been a sampler of the worst examples of German Hip Hop EVER...

I mean, I really like Hip Hop (though I prefer it to be in English), but those lyrics were gramatically and syntactically offensive, slurred in some kind of immigrant-ish pseudo-accent, misogynistic and downright stupid, and most definitely hazardous to your IQ...

Yuck. If that's what today's youth is after I fear for the worst...

Don't be a douche. Alanis Morissette did not give you a fever. And you didn't know whether it was Miss or Mrs. so I told you.

Wow, what can a granny say to make a young woman cry?

Astoundingly evil achievement indeed.

Her grandmother has to complain about everything. My roommate is finally feeling better about herself: she's doing better in school, she's got REAL friends who won't backstab her, she's got a very loving boyfriend... her life before was total and utter misery. So her grandmother can't complain about any of that. She has to complain about the one thing that changed: her weight. Normally she can shrug it off, but the way her grandmother put it was so hateful and wrong that she couldn't take it anymore. She had to let it out.

And another point: My roommate is so much thinner than me! She has no right to call her fat. I know exactly how she feels about being called fat. We both actually went through a lot of the same crap in high school. I was anorexic for 2 years because of all the fat comments made by my mother (not to mention her putting me on slim-fast when I was 13)...

Anywho, sorry about the rant, but this really pisses me off. My roommates and I are very close; they're like the sisters I never had. I hate seeing people I love hurt.

Today I went to finish shooting a scene for a student film I'm in. So I'm waiting for the director to show up, and I look over and see some *coughghettocough* kids running through the fountains in their swimsuits. Then, their father, a very, very large Hispanic man, decided to take off his shirt and join them. I had seen them pull up, park, take out beach towels, and run into these fountains, so they were there specifically for that.

The part about it that grinds my gears? THIS WAS IN FRONT OF THE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT HOUSE AND THE STATE GOVERNMENT BUILDING. Yeah, okay, it's hot. It's fun to play in water when it's hot, but the fountain in front of the County Superior Court house and the State Government building is NOT the place for it. That's a professional place of justice, not your front lawn. If you're going to do something like that, turn on the damn sprinkler in front of your house or go to the public pool.

What made it worse is he and his kids ended up in the shot for our film. One of them actually ran up and crashed into one of the other actresses while we were trying to film.

Gee, thanks, Tristan, for being an insensitive asshole. It's just so great that you think the fact that my ex abused me is funny. I just love how you made jokes about how the abuse was all MY fault, and that you think it's just hilarious that I'm actually upset about what you said.
Newsflash, it was NOT my fault and making jokes about how someone's ex abused them is NOT funny.
Go fuck yourself. Or better yet, why don't you go find someone who will treat you like everything is your fault for two years, only to then just cheat on you, tell you that you are worth less than porn, and abandon you. See how funny you think that is when it's over.
Don't talk to me anymore Tristan. Don't message me, don't bug me to draw shit for you. If you really think that abuse is funny, I don't ever want to speak to you again.

...Where's my katana?!?! I agree with you whole-heartedly, one-hundred percent, Pandora. Abuse is NOT funny. It hurts so badly when people make light of it like that. I've been there too.

IMHO, he's making a fool and an ass of himself. I'm sure we're not alone in thinking that either.

And I'm sorry that had to happen to you, hon. Honestly, I can't see how anyone would want to do that to someone. It's so barbaric. *hugs*

I've only just come to the admittance and realization that what he did was abuse. He never hit me, so I didn't figure it was, then I got some information on emotional and psychological abuse, and realized that he didn't have to hit me to abuse me. It's hard enough coming to terms with the idea that I fell into something as insideous as that without him being an asshole. I don't think people take it as seriously because there's no physical bruises, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was that kind of person. You don't have to physically hurt someone to chip away at their self-esteem and sense of worth in the same way.

I just can't believe I let myself get trapped by something like that.

I totally understand what you mean. Whether it's physical or not, it's still abuse, and it hurts just the same. The scars are just on the inside instead of the outside.

And as far as getting trapped by it goes, just remember that it isn't your fault. You've got no way of really knowing that someone is going to hurt you like that. If we did know and were psychic, we wouldn't be dating by trial and error in the first place Smile At least you were able to get out of that relationship.

It's been a little over a year and I felt stupid that it was still bothering me. I'm over him, I never want to be with him, or even see him, again, but I couldn't figure out why hearing anything about him caused me so much stress still. All the good times I had with him seemed so far away and so minimal that I couldn't even think of when they started and when they ended. They were all overshadowed by the crap times. Then I found an article on emotional and psychological abusers, and it was so in-depth that I printed it up, and made footnotes on all the things that happened to me while I was with my ex. Once I was done, there were so many things highlighted, circled, noted and underlined over a full 19 pages that I saw that I had been in an abusive relationship.

Now that I see it, I think I'll be better able to find closure. I know for sure 100% that if he tries to contact me again, I'm not even going to tell him to leave me alone, I'm just not even going to answer him. I have that information backing me now, when I couldn't even admit it before, and now that I've taken some time to let it settle in, it feels liberating.

I had a dialog with a friend. I've disclosed her hypocrisy during a short talk that she started and I've lost a chance do do a model shot of - despite what I've written next - pretty attractively looking girl.

Here's the deal :

She asked me to make some photos of her, full body shots - clothed, posed, for polish equivalent of facebook and i guess the facebook itself. After typical when, where and what I'd get for it info, I asked her this question :

"What you'll be wearing?"

She replied that she'll have some standard, stonewashed jeans, red converse sneakers (how obviously (un)original), a shirt and some beauty stuff and apparel. So I asked further - light makeup, strong makeup, glittering makeup, will her apparel contain any shining stuff etc. and I've asked her what kind of shirt she'll have on - longsleeve, t-shirt or sleeveless. She wrote that she'll have the latter. So I asked her :

"Is this is the kind of picture you'd want to have?

She said that something like that. And then I asked her :

"Do you depilate yourself?" Very Happy

Quite obviously, she was suprised by that question. She anwsered that of course she does, but what does that have to do with photo session. I replied to her saying that she's lying. Seeing only ??? and some emoticons as a sing of lack of understanding I told her to look again at that picture I've sent her and think about the word "depilation" while looking on it. After about ten seconds she sent a reply :

"Oh, f*** you"

I asked her if that's looking attractive. She avoided the anwser by saying that nobody is looking at that kind of thing and that is natural. I said ok., it's natural allright, but since she wanted to post that picture on a site that encourages self-promotion I asked her if she really wants to be seen as a "natural" that way. Annother few-seconds silence and a reply :

"F*** you"

And she ended up our lil' conversation.

Talk with that kind of person. Honestly, if she'd reply that she has no objections to be seen that way I'd gladly make that few shots, but instead she got angry even though I wasn't insulting her, only pointing out the fact that if she wants to have nice pics she'll have to either cover that stuff or shave it off. Because it's not pretty. It's not so important IRL, but it's soooo visible on a picture that it ruins the whole effect. Like that girl on the picture I've posted - she's a fine looking young lady but, oh my god, shave that stuff of if you're trying to look sexy/attractive and I belive you do if you're making poses like this one.

So, I've lost a chance to work with a living model, but I still don't know why. Was it insulting? If I'd give her a tip to put a little lipstic on would she still be insulted? Or if I'd told her that her shirt is folded, if she could straighten it a little for the sake of a good pic?

Discussions with girls - hard work on boarders of logic Very Happy.
