Touching, though for the life of me I cannot make out the text in the dark blue panel. Downloading it and blowing it up didn't help due to the resolution.
I think a far sadder thought would be Spike having to see Twilight die of old age far before growing to that size simply because of the lifespan difference between ponies and dragons. I have this image of Celestia being sympathetic and explaining to a crying Spike that having to see your pony friends die is a part of life for ancient creatures.

Based on the text following it and after squinting at the screen long enough to make my eyes strain like Pip on a treadmill, my best guess is that the line in the dark blue panel is "So he'll never be a problem..." So that would make the following transcript:
"What will you do when Spike grows to be as large as other dragons? How will he fit in the library?"
Hehe, don't worry. It will never be a problem to me or him.
So he'll never be a problem...

I still love Sonic. Sure, the most recent games (excluding Colors) have been bad, like really bad, but Generations is only looking good in my eyes (mainly because the original creator is back in control of it). And no matter how bad the fans get, I'll always have a special place for it.
