zombiepancakes wrote:jolly jack, can you make a video showing the process of drawing a Sequential Art strip with commentary, like you did with Eli?

I have lots of ideas for videos, but only a finite ammount of time. Some more specific tutorials are planned (such as how I draw figures/eyes/etc)

rpx wrote:What is this http://jollyjack.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=riddle#/dxly69 characters name?

She doesn't have one. She's just a random Sphinx.

Dreadstunlock wrote:JollyJack, how often did you have to do Life drawing to get to your stage? I know this is a bit generic, but on the average how many hours a week? Cheers mate.

I've only done life drawing a couple of times, and those were because I was required to at college.
I really don't see the point. You can study anatomy in exactly the same way by looking at photo reference, and there's TONS of that online.

rpx wrote:After Jo http://xlrp.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d4fdw6x became a werewolf how much has her life changed since? And dose she bragg about shooting that guys testicles off?

Truth be told: I have no idea what happened to Jo after she rode off. Did she go eat everyone in the diner or did she go off to hunt werewolves?

rpx wrote:What is the name of this character?

LINK (Note. Nipples - THE MANAGEMENT)

So banjo-on-the-cliff won't lose her mind.

Is that the character she was talking about? Might've been helpful if she'd sent me a link. I had no idea.
That's just a random, pin-up kitty drawn purely for that "katching" gag. She has no name.

1 - No.

2 - No one knows / Unlikely. Wanda K's narrative is set back in the early 90s)

So what amazing adventures are set for the SA crew this year? Did Kat stay off the boozer?
What exciting business ventures does Chloe have planned? Will Sky find funding elsewhere to avoid unwanted attention?
Will the Hamster finally achieve world domination?

2012: A year of possibilities.

I must ask, JJ, for the most part, do your drawings usually come out exactly as you envision them to in your head?

i.e. everything in the exact place you'd seen in mind?

Or are they usually off, but by just a bit? Close enough?

What do you think about already dangerous laser cannons (with power cells, as it seems)

http://www.cracked.com/article_18732_6-things-you-wont-believe-are-more-legal-than-marijuana.html

The thing on the top of list...
Seems to be a laser rifle with 50 m range and >100 shots battery. Good for ruining a crowd of looter chavs without a sound...

I'm 1 page away from having it finished, but I'll have to send off for a copy to review before I make it available for purchase, so; probably around mid March.

While we're on the subject - will there be something (dare I call it a graphic novel?) down the line that collects the Little Victory issues into something larger?

I just can't get myself to buy 36-page issues that get bent when put upright into a shelf...

np: Paul Woolford - Stolen (Original Mix) (The Top 100 Bleep Tracks Of 2011)

Yes, there will be a collection at the end of the first arc, but that's a ways off.

So, my token gamer questions, since it's what I always do (from forever ago, you were correct about Crackdown 2- that game SUCKED):

1. Have you played/finished/experienced Arkham City at all yet? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
2. Relevant for the time being, have you played any of the Mass Effect games?
3. What's your favored platform for games (PC or console/which console)?
4. Have you ever thought about doing art or design for video games?

1 - Yes. In all modes, at least 3 times over. Didn't feel as tight as Arkham Asylum, but the combat/boss battles were infinitely more enjoyable.

2 - I've never really played it. I got the original as a freebie, but I didn't play it for long. Just didn't grab me.

3 - XBox 360. As much as I hate M$, this is the best console currently on the market.

4 - Been there. Done that. Have no desire to do it again (unless it's for one of my own projects).

Here's another game question: have you ever played the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy text based adventure game? If not, I can tell you how to find it if you're interested.

Jack, questions. Sorry, I have a bit.

1. How do you like the Comic Relief stuff I've sent? I get the replies of you enjoying them, but is there anything I could do to adapt them or make them better? You'll probably steal the Tardis at some point, but...

2. Have you ever heard of Chris O'neil, Egoraptor, or Tom Ridgewell? If not, Google them. They are British and Irish animators, exactly the type of people you may want to check with. Edd Gould, too, except he died of lieukemia weeks back.

3. For quite possibly the tenth time: Do I have permission to borrow Art, Denizen Jack, Kat and OZbasic for Internet Superstar Punchout? I've already gotten 15 confirmed from several sources, but OZ would be a boss, and a cool one at that.

Did you leave Rare Games due to feelings of constrained creativity upon seeing a Chair Adjustment Specialist work on your swivel-rolly chair?
