Wow, that last panel really shows Art is literally just a thick pair of frames away from looking like a complete hipster douche.

I just had a thought...

I would laugh so hard if this all turned out to be a nightmare Art is having about being forced to wear 3D glasses because the world around him is being overtaken by 2nd rate gimmicks.

I've only ever pulled ONE "and it was a dream" stunt in Sequential Art, and I made sure everyone knew from the get-go that it WAS, in fact, a dream (Kat's nightmare flashback during the DeCerto arc). I wouldn't do it again.
Generally, I think it's a fairly lame thing to add to a story.

there is a major difference though the aliens appeared in all their power in independence day. if anything i would relate it closer to the series "V". to who ever did not watch the original or the remake the aliens scout us out they are actually reptilian like. they skin themselves as humans and infiltrate. learn as much as they can about us. then they came with their main forces pretended to come in peace. slowly took over and started to prepare us to be breeding and feeding stock.
