Sequential Art is finally back, kids. The story arc that was dragging for forever with a very few highlighs is finally over. Never thought that emoutional arc involving our favorite characters (except Hilary) could be so boring, seeing how cleverly written Little Victory parts that are not about Vicky being adorable or/and badass.
So, in the end:
Will those historical artefacts fill the void in Pip's heart? With some nice cash? Probably, thought I don't think those will qualify in SA world as something other than faithfull replica, seeing the lack of aging.
Was Hilary's character expanded beyond what she was before? Probably not. We kinda get to know what was the triggering moment for her to become an asshole towards Kat, but she actually never did something more evil than before this arc. She was slutty and evil before, and she did nothing new.
I'm still sticking to the opining that the "big reveal" was a huge downer and the time travel concept had far more potential than it boiled down to. Probably JJ just saves some of his breath for his "big" projects, and is not going to expand this webcomic beyond what it actually is - loveable, cute, funny, sometimes bit boring, yet very simple, without actual conflicts or drama.
So... that's it? That's... that's outrageous and audacious! Jack has taken us through several months of angst about Hillary's true nature and then on a detour through temporaral physics only to press the reset button! Effectively nothing has changed!
(Of course, there's still the half-working time-machine in the basement and revelations about Hillary and Kat's shared past but that just goes into the 'continuity' file for later use)
Jack, you little bait-and-switch devil! [/code]
Keeping the story and the characters stale after half a year of ongoing plot is not a great thing. It ended almost like Twilight.
