Well that the Hilary we know and expect. A Hilary with real income will be more interesting and her job will put her in a position where she will likely run into Art and Kat on occasion (I'm making certain assumptions about the advertising industry, artist, and photographers). Still, like most of you I feel the need for Pip to come out ahead somehow.

While I understand the desire for revenge, removing her from the job that she just screwed to get seems like it would be a hollow victory. The only thing that comes to mind would be for Pip to somehow end up in some position where he held power or authority over her...even if he never used it. And the best revenge I think would be one where Hilary realizes that she really screwed something up by not treating Pip better.

P.S.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first post-coital scene involving a human ever illustrated in S.A.?
I always thought that JJ avoided these for some reason.

"no smut in SA" thing is about maintaining main characters as pure as possible, what makes occasional cocktease and sexiness more enjoyable and desirable. There was also something about "potential widening of SA in more types of media" but I see no light in this tunnel, judging by the amount of projects JJ's trying to handle. Slowly.

I know about the "smut" policy and I've never had a problem with it. Those panels are no worse than something you'd see on an American soap opera. I'm only referring the representation of human/non-human intimacy. I don't have a problem with that either. I just think it's a first for SA.

This arc had a great beginning - every strip was funny and interesting, mainly because of the great jokes and amusing character interactions. Then the weakest plot twist in a book happens, that you're so proud of predicting, and everything boils down to "Hilary is slutty" and "Pip is absurdly delusional" what became old on the 2nd strip. The problem is there are 10 strips of this thing dragging on and only one of them had an actual funny joke in it.

Two months of Hilary being slutty and Pip uber delusional.

Boring. You predicted that something boring will happen, wolfmanal, congratulations. Go bake yourself a cake or something.

i was on the wolf man train from day one and i was not bored in the slightest by it. because we did see a development of Hilary's char. YES IT WAS EFFING DEVELOPMENT. we saw why she does what she does and what drives her bichyness that is development. just because she did not develop in your sappy love story "notebook" way does not mean it was not development. and now it is time to watch her burn time too pull out the Gloria Goodtime photos pip.

I have been really enjoying this new arc and eagerly check each day for any new updates. I especially love this latest installment.

JollyJack does a great job of using this storytelling device; he is extremely effective to show how Hilary advanced to her new position in 4 panels! Loved how 3 panels were (maybe different)beds but still the same type of (stage) set, how the agent was a pig- reminiscent of BlackSad’s animal characters are depicted due to the character’s personality or type, Hilary being Hilary and black mailing the editor.

Not only was it amazing how much was covered in the span of these few panels but how much volume each panel showcase of the characters via body language/expressions. JJ, you are coming a long way with your storytelling and portrayals of characters!!!

Now that Bitchy Bunny has successfully f**ked her way to the top, she has no more need of Pip save one. To toss him aside in the cruelest way possible just to get Kat's goat. However, nothing, & I mean nothing, can prepare her for the inevitable backlash from said cruelty.

As Tony Stark once said, Let's do a head count here:

Art - Who, despite being constantly exasperated by Pip being...Pip, is still his best (only?) friend & would likely want payback.

Kat - Hotheaded, seething with more bunnyhate than any wolfman possibly could, & never one to shy away from a throwdown.

Scarlet - Sweet, cheerfull and - along with her "sisters" - capible of creating anything from nuclear-powered butterfly nets to intergalatic lawnmowers. A girl who, upon seeing a member of her "family" hurt, may show us something potentally more apocalyptic: An angry Quad. (And yes, I'm still sticking to that prediction)

The Denizens - Who will likely go along with whatever the the Gang does...along with their retro-styled rayguns & Tie Interceptors.

And let's not forget the Pipster himself. Who can say what bitter heartbreak will do to an already morality-challenged avian. Forget Goodtime pics, we're talking obtaining the distribution rights to all her films & selling blu-ray box sets.

What pisses me off royally, beyond what she did to Pip (which is utterly piss-worthy in and of itself) is that the industry isn't supposed to work that way. It is, for the most part, a fairly unforgiving meritocracy, and apart from what cynics believe, most men stop having their brains shut down by a pretty girl after high school. (Well, maybe after college. Also, I'm a maverick, so I don't count! Embarassed )Hilary must be able to single out the desperate and the pathetic like a wolf picking out the sick and infirm within a herd.

Seeing someone cheat the system in such a blatant, effortless, and above all SMUG manner is utterly galling. No sincere work ethic proven, no practical skills displayed, and no productivity put forth. Hillary isn't just a manipulative harlot; she's completely unworthy of the good fortune that's been dropped in her lap.

Hilary is a phenomenal manipulator. You just know there are real people out there like this; in fact, you may be sitting next to one right now. I'm just curious about how she's going to dump Pip. Will it be phenomenally cruel (most likely), merely insensitive, or will there be even a hint of compassion for having used him, given that he was there when she had her meltdown (not holding my breath.)
