Favorite Old School Game

I'm talking about way back to the days of NES, SNES, and Genesis. My fav was a little game called... ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS!! It was one of my all time favorites because of the creative weapons, your starting weapon was a water gun and later on you could kill zombies and other creatures with popsicles, great character design, from the way classic zombies to near indestructable chainsaw men, and awesome levels, from shopping malls to pyramids in egypt. It was an awesome game that I could never beat because of those dang worms!! It's finally on the wii shop channel but I have no points to get it.

N64 doesnt count?

But for genesis, Rocket Knight Adventures. ^_^

Not exactly WAYYY back, but still a good amount.

Starfox 64 was just kickarse, best all time game I've ever played, only surpassed by Half Life

That's another old game I could never beat. And I guess you can include the 64 too. Well, basically any thing before ps2, xbox, and gamecube. Heck, if you have a favorite atari game that would be ok.

If N64 is in, Mischief Makers for all time fav.

I have too many faves to list, but I'm going to point out Story of Thor (AKA: Beyond Oasis) as being the best action RPG of all time.

Played it again recently and it is near perfect!

Alpha Helix's "Beer" and Epic Megagames' "Brix"

Toe Jam n' Earl for Sega Genesis. That game rocks my socks. I'd still play it if I could find where ever the hell my copy of it got off to.

"Secret of Mana" for the SNES.

closely followed by "Illusion of Time" for SNES

Favourites - too many to choose from, but my picks :

Double Dragon 2 (NES), Superfrog (Amiga500), Dune(Amiga500), Mortal Kombat 2(Amiga500), Cannon Fodder 2(Amiga 500) and basicly many, many more on my beloved A500! Magical times. Double Dragon was my first game for NES and a really juicy beat'em up, so that's why it's here.

Streets of Rage 2 (AKA Bare Knuckle 2 in Japan.) for the Megadrive. BEST GAME EVAR.
And Cannon Fodder too.

omg so did i! but then i got really good with Axel so i use him more now.

And holy crap. i can't believe i forgot Metal Slug. I have the anthology on PS2. Its still fun.

Sega Genesis: THE LOST VIKINGS!!!

Max Payne - Windows Vista

Nes Single: Going out on a limb to see if anyone remembers this gem, Blaster Master. I never got far, but I like playing it.

Nes Co-op : River City Ransom. There's something about being able to throw EVERYONE at the enemy... or your buddy that makes it worth while.

SNES Single: It's a few, they're all good. but instead of of saying the well known... Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and like Tom FF6... Drakkhen has a calling to me, it's a bad game, but it's good about it. However, I like Shm'ups so Axelay is my real fav....

But my fav PS game was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy Tactics.
