I played the original from Orange Box.
Didn't realise they'd added a story.
Kinda wish they hadn't, as the atmosphere was so good it didn't need any narrative other than the one you deducted yourself from the clues around the Aperture Labs and the ramblings of the utterly mental GlaDOS.

Actually they didn't. The only difference is that the makers added some new bonus puzzles. Other than that, they're more or less identical.

So me mates and I were sitting around drin..*ahem* talking, and the subject of one Chloe Sinclair came up. We started talking about possible family histories and this is what we came up with.

Chloe's great-great grandmother was the Mata Hari of her time. Fighting the Martian invasion by day, using her feminine wiles to get secrets from the Kaiser's boys at night.

Chloe's great grandmother was a nurse helping out in Paris when the Nazi's invaded. She of course joined the French resistance, made lovely little bombs, and blew up things.
(It's never wrong to kill Nazi's.)

Chloe's grandmother followed her grandmother's example and became one of the first super-spy's during the cold war and made a small fortune playing baccarat.

Chloe's mother was a mathematician and computer whiz, creating some of the first popular software for personal computers. She quadrupled the family wealth during the dot.com bubble of the 80's.

Then of course there is our dear little Chloe.

Now imagine how amazing the men in the family were in order to win the heart of a Sinclair woman so that she'd marry and make a little skunkette of her own.king

Finally imagine all of the Sinclair women in their prime and together in one room and your the lucky b@$#@*% who just walked through the door. Shocked
(There are worse ways to die.)

So now my question. Would it be possible to see the Sinclair women though history?

Are there any games you find to be guilty pleasures? Like...games you'd be a bit embarrassed if everyone and their mother new you (still) played it despite your age, gender, what have you? Like...I dunno, any of those LEGO games, Pokemon, etc?

Also where do you come up with names for your characters. Pip, Art, and Kat are all pretty straight-foward in that they relate to the character or species in some way, but what about Scarlet (red fur?), Hillary, Vanity, and all the other supporting cast members of SA?

On the topic of "Victory Girl", the Solo Endeavour description of Chimera labels Vicky as "Young Vicky". So would this be a simple description or does she physically grow up in later editions?

As often as time will allow Smile
I can't give a set timeframe I'm afraid.

It's just a description.
Vicky was born in 1991, so she's pretty young in comparision to some of the other GSIs, who have been in action since the 1960s Smile

Here are some questions of mine:

1) How long have Pip, Art, and Kat known each other? I figured that Pip and Art have known each other since college, but what about Kat?

2) Have Art/Pip/both ever accidently walked in on Kat while she was getting out of the shower?

3) It would seem that Kat fears that her breasts are not big enough, is this true?

4) What was Kat's degree in when she graduated from college? What was her minor?

5) What types of movies do the four main characters of Sequential Art like, and what are their favorites?

6) Have you ever thought about doing the comics in color?

7) Is there any chance we will see Kat's father in the comic?

Well, that's it for now.

I have an extremely important question to ask. It's a matter of dual boot or not!

Jolly! Should I buy a tablet now? And hope that because I purchased it I will somehow be compelled to draw better? Or should I just give up and buy a second HDD for a Linux dual boot?

Hilary won't do anything that might land herself in legal trouble. Aside from that....

1) Art and Pip met in college. They ran into Kat shortly after that had left to seek employment.

2) Scarlet has walked in on Art Smile

3) Nope. Kat's happy with her bod.

4) Kat took photography and journalism.

5) They all like a range of films, but Pip hates RomComs. They make him violent.

6) Yes. Not gonna happen, though. I don't have time!

7) Never say Never.

Only buy a tablet if you're actually going to USE it.
If you're just drawing as a hobby; stick with a pen and paper. It's cheaper Smile

On the subject of asking multiple questions:

1) What hobbies do the main 4 have in common? Or have they been established?

2) Are Scarlet, Amber, Violet and Jade related genetically or are they clones?

3) We've seen Chloe's dad in the "Chloe Island" pic (probably one of my favourites of Chloe) and he seemed less than impressed about her spending habits. Will he appear more? The fact she appeared daunted by him knowing suggests he can put her in her place when he has to.

4) What does Sky state herself as? A treasure hunter or something else?

5) Would you ever consider doing a collaboration comic with anyone, i.e: someone does story and someone draws or vice versa? Or even a non canon crossover i.e: Scarlet builds a teleporter and ends up in someone else's comic?

That is all.

1) They all enjoy video games, movies and comics, except Scarlet, who is more interested in food and its acquisition.

2) Yes Smile

3) That was probably a pic of YOUNG Chloe. She has her own fortune these days, and she spends it however she wants.

4) Treasure Hunter. She's no archaeologist, which is why she has to get funding from private companies rather than academic bodies.

5) I simply dont have the time.

Ooohhh, You! Smile

1) I knew that (we all did Wink ), but is she an Abyssinian, American Shorthair, British Shorthair, Burmese, Somali, Bombay, Egyptian Mau, Havana Brown, Singapura, Snowshoe, Oriental, or Tonkinese? I know that she isn't a Siamese or a longhair Persian, so what kind of cat breed is she? Or is Kat a mixed breed?

2) Also, does Kat groom herself like real cats?

3) Does Kat shed?

4) What are the characters' fears? For example, is Kat afraid of dogs?

5) Does Kat eat mice and rats?

She doesn't like Spiders or bugs. An early strip has her run through the house naked because one walks in on her taking a shower. There's a sketch of a young Kat being seriously freaked out by an insect on her arm.

Anyway, back to Jack.
Just another:

Do you work on a non-screen tablet still (like an intuous)? What position did you generally find it best to use? I mean was it directly infront of your system, to the side of it, on your lap? What position generally is most comfortable and easiest to get things drawn with? It's an odd question but I think it might help me with my drawing if I knew the best/most comfortable place to stick my intuous.

Kat is a cartoon character. I didn't study feline breeds or behaviours for weeks before first drawing her.

I use a cintiq.
It sits on my desk at about the same angle as my old drawing board once did.

I'm going to take that as a yes.

jollyjack wrote:Kat is a cartoon character. I didn't study feline breeds or behaviours for weeks before first drawing her.

Okay, well, that doesn't quite answer my question, so I'm just going to say that she's a Somali/Oriental mix because of her bushy tail (it is bushy isn't it?). If I'm wrong, well, Kat has my permission to hit me upside the head with a bat!

What are the characters' favorite foods? For example, does Kat like raw meat, Pip fish, Scarlet nuts, and Art cheeseburgers?

If you could have any artist, and I mean any, who would you like to see draw one of your characters? Scarlet by Fred Perry? Pip by AmericanNinjaX? Chloe by someone who draws really exaggerated curves?

...man, I am full of questions recently...

...

OK

I have a "superposition" opinion.
(But if you have a furry skin, you can't wear wool or cotton because of the electrostatic effects.)

It's actually the human characters I'd like to see drawn by other artists.
(I plan on pestering ANX for a pin-up for Little Victory).

Dream commissions would be:
Vicky by J Scott Campbell
Agent Nayler by Adam Hughes
