Pencils with rubbers?

It's called a "mechanical pencil". You load it up with a graphite nib. You can press the rubber button down to make the nib extend out when you need it to.

Back in school, I used to use Bic-style pens with erasers. They did work although you couldn't use them too much on one spot as they tended to wear holes in the paper.
