Ah! Now it makes sense! Risk for the good of the human race? No way! Risk for the chance to touch a famous woman? He's in!

If there is anything the Hilary/Pip romance and The Button arcs should have taught us is that Pip has a very high level of gullibility and malleability. He can be tricked into almost anything for the most ridiculous and trivial promised rewards. He's the sort of guy who leaders of militant groups fantasise about encountering because their buttons to get them to fall in line are so predictable and obvious.

The fact that Pip followed a link from a 'fan blog' to Cameron is an interesting thing. It is another bit of evidence suggesting that the 'infiltrators' are very, very far from being omniscient or even particularly security-conscious. A logical follow-on is that they may not be malign at all; they're just another immigrant group trying to find work in their new homes.

That's pretty much what I've been thinking. That & the main reason for the "Resistance" is the fact that all that "Trash TV" is drawing the mindless masses (...that's us BTW) away from all the "Most Awesome, Must see Movies" that J.C. & his peers crank out.

And yes, I'm still waiting for Michael Bay to make an appearance.
