Something isn't adding up here. Hilary is a great many bad things: bitchy, abusive, domineering, manipulative, grudge holding. However one thing she is not is lazy. As horrible as this job probably is, she can't be doing this just for the sake of getting out of work.

She's definitely up to something, we just don't know what. The only reason she's pandering to Pip's every perverted and nerdy whim is so he'll keep letting her do it.

Collected Curios is a great comic and one I've been keeping up with for a while. One thing that I've always understood though was that Hilary has usually been the bully to most people, or really just focused on Kat. Sure, she got a little bitchy with the artist for a while, but only to get at Kat. We've shown why she has been a bully to Kat, as shallow a reason as it was, but at that age, that could be a big deal. So the question here is, when she found that lunch box and thought back on it, did she realize just how infantile she was being and decide to reach out to the first person she knew? Or is she keeping up her manipulative streak and trying to stab Pip in the back to advance up the corporate ladder again? There is a lot going on here and Hilary is a relative unknown. So, this could go anywhere.

I hate to repeat myself (Nah, thats a lie, I actually LOVE it), but I knewit all along. I didn´t trust her for one millisecond and I was right. She is up to something! Something big. Something evil. Something that would make even the Joker curl up in a fetal position and weep with terror.

Giving Pip self-confidence and changing him from a shut-in nerd into a....actual likable.....organism? Not sure how I should refer to him.

Highly unlikely. I know from experience that when a person holds a grudge for many years, they will cling to every perceived wrong like a barnacle clings to every imperfection in a rock. A more likely explanation is that unemployment and being made to work at a charity store probably broke her spirit, and in the reconstruction phase she simply became a more humble and graceful person. *Looks at comic again* Well, at least more humble.

As was stated above, Hilary is a new character for the most part. Her appearances up to date have centered around her singular occupation as Kat's personal bully, so little is known about her. Jack may still be fine tuning the other facets of her personality. I think most of us agree that her one night with Pip was a result of needing to connect physically (and possibly emotionally) with someone when she hit bottom.

What she's thinking, planning, or doing is unknowable for now because we lack information. What we do know is that Jack works hard to avoid cliche'. That almost certainly means that there has got to be more to it than just stabbing Kat or company in the back.

And then Kat (and/or Art maybe) screwes it up because they simply can't believe she's sincere. And then we're back in square one

Yeah he has, but it was me, in the previous thread :p

If Hilary genuinely likes Pip, then it's highly probable that something will happen to screw it up so that the story can go back to its original state. That "something" might very well turn out to be a decisive action taken by a paranoid Kat. If this happens, the relationship between two of the main characters (Pip and Kat) will become strained, and that's something to be avoided, since the whole story pretty much relies on the main characters getting along (most of the time, anyway).
This is why I believe Hilary is up to something devious. That way none of the main characters will come to hate each other at the end of this arc (since ending the relationship will be for Pip's own good).
But this is just speculation on my part.

um 2 things. one thing this is a messed up type of sexual harassment case that is developing has anyone else been seeing that? second who said it would be kat or art. Hilary has yet to meet scarlet or the think tank and the denisins. what will happen then?

Still, doesn't take away the question of what she's out doing. Hitting the pubs, or spa, or some other posh stuff?
