Yes, the sketchbooks do show off Amber's past enhancements that were later referenced in the comics, but by that token, we'd also have count things like Kat and Scarlet driving a DeLorean to the Triassic, Hilary actually being an android that Kat can easily disassemble, Pip remote controlling a giant Scarlet mech, Scarlet having at one point cocoanut-cracker thighs, and so on.
None of which would surprise me one bit
