Yeah, Denizens are definitely not edible, being only manifested shadows. Look at the way that little guy stretched as the hawk took a bite! He's got more in common with a Toon from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" than any organic life-form!

He doesn't. He gets picked up by someone with a less-than-beneficient agenda. After he is identified as one of Jack's former slaves, he'll be put to work making super-weapons for the Secret Government Agency or Criminal Empire du jour. I sense a MINI ARC! The every now and then adventures of the lost Denizin.
This smells of win. Of course he could return back in a few minutes it all depends on where the raptor decided to try his hand. You would think with all the dead lipless cows the local meat eaters would be happy.
