Why do you think that it's a trap?

Because they'd feel pressured they have to give all their characters names, then later realise the name doesn't suit one of the characters or don't like the name but then realises they can't change it because it messes around with the continuity and so on.

So best to draw the character first and add a name later, or make sure the character has a name you really like for them.

Well, I personally hate giving names to characters, it can be a torment, and I know that in concept phaze you can get bored or feel unsatisfied by the names you've given.
Still, I won't cry over a name that I'll later feel that doesn't fits. It's there, it's given, other people read it and they've accepted it, and that's what matters.
When I read comic I don't question names. I take them as they are.
So, IMO, if a public gets the name and accepts the overall character, I find no reason to be unsatisfied with it's name.

You had it like that? That you disliked the names you've given? I haven't seen some of your old classic folks from a long time, only new concepts. Did ya scratched them?

They all still mostly exist. Only the new creations took up priority because they, well, they needed designing.

And how's the story design? Cool

There are ideas. Many many ideas. And they all need streamlining down, a bit of cutting here and there. Some need to be trimmed down and simplified a little so I know where I'm going with them. But on a basic level I have some which I know I want to use. It's all research for now.

It's the scripting part that's going to be trouble.

Rather than clean script, I'd rather think in storyboards and shots from the start - what I want the characters do to, what I want to be seen in the frame, from what angle, etc., etc. I hate writing scripts from the start, like I said, I quick-doodle storyboards.

I prefer going down a script route first because that way you already have the dialogue ready and what panels you know they will go in.

Strip no.17 is on it's way, needs some colors and shading for the characters, plus dialog, of course.
But as for now, the pain of creation process kicked in :

Once again, great strip. but i think you mean to say in the first panel "I should have known that..." without the "better". Or you could say "I should have known better than to have left that girl with Jayden." I think you accidentally put "tear our my larynx" instead of "out my larynx".

"I should have known that leaving that girl with Jayden wasn't the smartest idea" seems fine to me. I'm pretty sure for this sentence.
She told that because as his ex-wife and knowing her ex better than annyone she "should have known better that this wasn't the smartes idea", that being "leaving that girl with Jayden".
I'll ask my friend though, he's an english teacher, so either he'll re-assure me or will prove me wrong.

As for latter, I've fixed it 'cause Cenaris pointed it. I ommited it and it was a typing error as [i]r
is close to t.

"I should have known that leaving that girl with Jayden wasn't the smartest idea"

I believe it should be "I should have known that leaving the girl with Jayden wasn't the smartest idea"

Since you mainly want it to revolve around the foreign exchange student, at least imply that she is "the girl".

Don't go with me thoug, I failed English 2-4 in highschool.(yet still graduated...)

Still, as a native speaker I belive you're ten times better than I am at it.

I'm having a busy week and I'm kind of short on ideas here, for strips, that is,so I guess there'll be no updates till next week. Sorry for that.

But if you have any ideas for what should happen next or somwhere in near future, hit me up on P.M. I'm not scripting forward, so anything can happen in the comic, and if I'll find any idea of yours interesting, I might use it.
And of course, I'll give a credit for the creator.

Ok., I lied. I managed to finish one on this week.

So, here it is, strip no.18 :

Clickie!

A little change of speech bubbles to transparent and without frames. Tell me if they're better than the old ones.
And, as always, grammar and stylistical watchers are welcome.

Finally, a good ending to those situations. I hate it when it ends with the guy telling the truth looking like a fool.
But, Nice work Pietja. looking good. I love the Bunnie's face in the 4th panel. Good close-up. (Facial expression)

*corrected the panel #*
