Pretty self-explanatory, these are totally my views on steampunk.
Comic isn't mine.

Mine as well. The whole idea of putting 18th century cogs and steam valves on things for no reason other than decoration tends to wear thin. But then that's probably my bias towards a blend of the 1980s, digital technology and borderline modernity.

I just don't get steampunk. The fact that everyone else in the art world seems to like it baffles me about its appeal.

Well, I personally love Japanese ads. They're often so random that I don't know what to think. I think I posted Alien Tommy Lee Jones commercials somwhere out here before.
And Anabuki company deals with real estate, mostly condominiums. The Red Riding Hood is their mascot and as far as I can speculate, the girl goes to grandma house witch is in fact condo, because of all the animals that acompany her, that probably also live in there. But that's a speculation.

And Japanese used tanuki, that is japanese raccoons, in humoresque quite often. Yes, with big genitalia, wich they find funny and see nothing crude or offensive about it.

Also, the japanese raccoons are more simmilar to polish jenot (type in google graphics) than to american raccon, so the wikipedia entry of jenot switches it to japanese raccoon. But still, the japanese ones have bigger balls then ours, I can confirm that as I saw jenot's in the zoo.

I never said I found the sight of Tanuki balls to be offensive since they are used in the humorous context. I just wondered why they used them.

And I never implied anything like that. I just stated the fact.
That kind of commercial with any kind of balls would never be aired in my country, and I guess most of the western countries anyway.

Being the only blader in a group of Skaters is quite suckish o-o But by doing different stuff I finally got top respect. Though its not done by outtricking the others... just by making pictures and filmed some stuff.
