Here's the thing. If they ever find Hillary's happiness, what do they do if, Tuvix-style, she refuses to go back? That she's had a better life hanging out with the Denizens than she has in her own head?

I'd love to see Hillary getting a happiness boost.
Zap that mini happy bunny back into her!

Plot Twist: By the time Hilary gets her joyful aspect back, it'll have gone on its own mini-adventure all over the place, and the resulting feedback will cause her to have a big epiphany (ala Lex Luthor in All Star Superman).

Our heroes would probably hesitate, perhaps argue a bit, uncertain about how they ought to proceed.  Whereupon Hilary, in typical psychopath fashion, will be all, "Screw what she wants.  Screw your stupid morality.  I want her back!", then grab Squee and jump into the machine uncaring of anyone's opinion.

Squee is a psychopath's happiness.  Because psychopaths can't empathize with others, she's not going to care about the happiness of others, just her own.  If she finds hurting others enjoyable, she'll do it. But she may want to return to the rest of Hilary since Hilary's other bits and bobs did provide her with a direction and impetus in which to be happy.

But, most importantly, she is just pure, untethered happiness. She doesn't need to do something to be happy because she is already happy. All the time. Even if there is no possible reasonable cause for her to be happy.
