When cartoonists just want to fill in three or four panels without all the fuss of a large-scale running storyline, the results can be... variable... and unique.



I think Art has learnt a valuable lesson here. Don't ask Pip a rhetorical question as it gives what is a seriously freaky imagination free-reign. You should also ask just how scarring the results of that imagination can get.

That said, you could write a kind of halucinogenic PhD thesis about the life-cycle of MLPs from sprout to fertiliser.

Well, actually it is heavily hinted in the show that they DO crap.
In the Episode 2/09, "Sweet and Elite" Rarity says as an excuse that she has to use "the little fillies room". In Episode 2/13, "Baby Cakes", The two foals need a diaper change after they are "ripe" (and according to Pinkie Pies reaction they don´t smell like daisies and butterflies...). Finally in Episode 2/14, "the last Roundup" both Pinkie Pie and Applejack can be seen using an Outhouse (complete with flushing sound). So Pips theory is averted. Hand over your nerd card Pip, things like that should be known.

To answer that question: Yes, they do crap. In fact, two back to back episodes in Season 2 address this quite thoroughly.

Season 2, Episode 13: Baby Cakes. The baby foals needed their diapers changed regularly.

Season 2, Episode 14: The Last Roundup. Pinkie Pie was really desperately busting to take a piss during the train ride. When the train finally arrived she headed for the outhouse REALLY fast.

Okay, am I the only one who is completely and utterly freaked out by the fact that we have people on this forum who can give us chapter and verse of MLP canon? I mean, I'm a Trekker and a fan of so many Saturday Morning cartoons that I can't count them but I don't think that I could possibly give you that sort of trivia, no matter how into the show I was!

*raises hand* To be honest, there's few enogh episodes where pretty much everything that happens in the show is memorable and can be recalled very easily.
