I don't know how to break it to you guys, but I don't think the cow moved. More specifically, I think what's being implied is that only part of the cow remained stationary.

Given Scarlet's ability to home in on visuals that traumatize her, and the general squirelly massively overwrought technology based solutions to problems (or any other occurrence that crosses their paths) one must assume that there is a combination "soothing hugs applicator" and "short term memory re-writer" configured just for her use in the denizen's tunnels somewhere.

Let us hope that Pip never deduces its existence, nor discovers its location.

Now, I know Pip is a Perverted Penguin, but don't forget the wrath he brought on those that made Scarlet cry. (can't be bothered to look it up) I highly doubt he'd ever do anything of the sort that I think you're implying.
