TIE Interceptors? How did those manage to find their way into the basement?

Every time Pip comes to the rescue he has a TIE on. I swear.

I was right, they are tie incepts. Now I'm gonna go cry in a corner because I figured that out from a few feet of some pylons showing in ONE PANEL. The force is too strong in me.... BOW CHIKA WOW WOW~!

The Denizens built them. Obviously they are Warsies and have a lot of spare time on their hands.

When you think about it the Seinar Fleet Systems TIE series is a perfect choice. Simple, relatively unsophisticated and designed above all else for conformity and ease of maintenance, it is just the sort of thing you would want to reverse engineer if you wanted to create a space fighter using contemporary or near-future tech. Despite the type's real sophistication, there are few Clarke-tech miracles like shields, AI super-warhead missiles or hyperdrives. They're essentially solar-powered ion engines bolted to relatively small unpressurised cockpits and carrying four high-energy lasers.

Suddenly, I see Vanity following in leading a 'vic' of TIE Bombers. Wink

"I'm starting my attack run! Cover me!"

not quite sure if I'm getting this wrong, cause you were a little unclear, but there is only one type of TIE that has anything like that. A couple of them have one or two, but only the TIE Phantom has all of them.

You're Forgetting the TIE Defender, TIE Avenger, and the TIE Hunter

The Interceptors always were my fave Sienar Tie Fighter. Pity they're not very durable...

The Avenger had hyperspace, and maybe shields, but I don't think it had missiles. The defender and hunter I'm not as sure about, but I don't think they had all three, either.

Nighthawke

Get some, Pip!

Squints were some of the finer TIE's put out by Sienar during the days of Empire, but there were more variants to come out before and after the fall of Courscant.

One model's called the Clutch, the solar panels are cut on a bias, then arrayed around the cockpit at 120 degrees from each other. The systems modified to include shields and an improved Repulsorlift system, making it more maneuverable in atmosphere than the vaunted X-Wing. They sported along with the dual lasers, an ion cannon for those runs where you don't want to hurt somebody. The Invids made the most of the ship during their raids, and are popular with pirate groups and some Imp Remnants. Some pirates took to mounting a hyperdrive in their ships, adding a new capability to the vehicle, but losing numbers on overall performance. My favorite TIE of the bunch.

Take your pick folks, there's lots to choose from.

There's also the Eyeballs, from the Legacy era. You'd think that Imperial technology would have improved in 130 years, but the stormies still use e-11s, and the pilots still use TIEs. Go figure.

As if the denizens weren't awesome enough, now they can pilot spacecraft. Is there anything they can't do? Very Happy

Very false, if the Denizens cannot talk? Then how do they work together and form plans to do anything?

Talking is communication, and communication is something Denizens definitely do not lack, what they do lack, are head parts like mouths, and don't be guessing, if they can build a rocket, they may also know English, they just can't speak it.

Yet you yourself are limiting the whole spectrum of Denizens communication to nothing more than verbal smatterings. Communication is MUCH more than JUST talking. I was NOT guessing, but we have never seen a Denizen speak other than one, and he[Jack] is 'broken' not to mention the leader of the whole group. The normal guys may use some sort of telepathy as is my guess, kinda like the quartets mode of brain sharing, or maybe perhaps they could be using a form of sign language. These minor grunts that comprise the current Denizens do understand English and the others, after all why would they put English on every little thing.

Xenathos got it right, there is also the written language. I forgot that one.
