Just some stuff

Alright. I know my stuff isn't great but I figure it isn't horrible and the only way to improve is to share and learn from criticism. SOOO...I'm going to post a few things and HOPEFULLY, you guys will give me some creative input. Or any input for that matter.

This one is pretty old so I know her structure is all wrong, but I still like her.

This one is just as old and stayed unfinished for a really long time. I finally went back and threw the guy in on a whim. I suck at drawing men. Also, I originally wanted to color it with the liquid being green so her codename is the Green Faery. I don't own a tablet though so I'm mostly stuck with coloring on the paper and I SUCK at coloring, so I left it alone. If anyone feels the need to color it themselves, HAVE AT IT! The same goes for all my stuff.

I did this long before the new Alice in Wonderland. I colored it in photoshop which I've used maybe 5 times total. No tablet so I colored it with a mouse, THAT took awhile. I did it with some big idea in my head of a story with the "Hatters" as some sort of Clockwork Orange-esque gang.
Oh and it got scanned crooked obviously. This annoys me to no end.

Hell, I talk about the others being old... I did this when I was a freshman in highschool which was, saaay...2002-2003. But it's still one of my favorites.

Colored on photoshop with a mouse. After looking at her again, I suddenly feel the need to turn her into a fox or something...

Yeah the boots are my favorite too. They were sort of based on a pair that I had at the time. I did that awhile back for a friend.

No more opinions from anyone? I could really use the advice.

Only thing I could suggest is to work on trying to draw from a different perspective view. All (almost all) of your drawings are from the same view.

Are you saying that you only draw because people on this forum want you to draw? Or you only get motivated or only care because people respond?

Absolutely not. I just don't want to cram the forum with a ton of stuff if no one is interested. It's a forum not a gallery. I don't have a lot of new stuff anyway because I haven't been very inspired in awhile. I've been doing some more tattoo work lately though and that has me picking my pencil back up.

Yeah, I kind of suck with different perspectives. I'm going to try working on it though. I got myself a little wooden manikin and I'm going to try and use that. I've never really had references before.

For awhile I was really into Naruto (only in Japanese with subtitles, the english voice acting drove me insane)Did this as a gift for a friend's kid brother. Yes I looked at a manga cover, no I did not trace.

Took the glass from the face of a clock and used a Dremel to etch it. Sadly it was broken when we moved last summer.

Design I did for a girl for a tattoo. Don't know what she did end up getting in the end but I kind of liked it. Best wings I've even done for sure.

And this is the latest tattoo I've done. On our friend Brian. It's a tree of life and his wife used some stupid app on her iPhone that distorted colors a bit for the picture. The whole outside is really green, no black. But I think the picture makes it sort of pop. And I did not do the outline. My husband did it, which is why it's sort of sketchy. I went back over it to smooth it out some but there is only so much you can do.

Wanted to put some of my tattoo work on here because it's art too.
This is the third tattoo I ever did on human skin. I did the first three all in one day on two separate girls. I'm still amazed by just how well the color stuck in this one. Also, it was hilarious to watch her squeeze the life out of the stuffed Pikachu we spent 50 cents to get out of a claw machine. Bets 50 cents spent ever. By the way, tattoos on your foot are some of the most painful for the majority of people. Oh and the red around it and slight swelling is because this was taken literally about a minute after I completed it.

It's been a LOTR sort of day. I decided while watching #1 to draw an elf. Don't what the story is behind her, and don't know why I decided to use a more anime style than I normally do but I think she turned out well. Only the second time I think that I've drawn someone with their head tilted up. Trying to work on the different perspectives thing. Taking baby steps with it.

Also, the elf is yellow because it is night time and I have florescent lights and no scanner so I had to photograph the drawing.

It's been a long time since I've done two drawings in two days. This is my daughter, Ember Cole. The picture was taken a couple weeks ago and it's a personal favorite. I've been wanting to draw a portrait of her since before she was born but I've shied away from it. I avoid drawing babies for one reason alone, their hair. It's so thin and the hair line is far from clear. Her hair is really a little darker than this but I was honestly afraid to go over it again, worried I'd screw it up.
