I leave the leaves on the lawn, perhaps chewed up by the lawnmower if they're dry enough. They make excellent mulch, which makes for a great excuse to avoid the work of raking them up. Razz


On another note, it seems Scarlet found a household chore she could help out with. It's one that I think is very appropriate for a squirrel.

This was a favorite activity back when my old favorite pear tree was alive. (god damn you Ike!) Every year I got to trudge out and rake up the leaves every other day. We use to push them into a depression in the yard to fill it slowly up. Some years that depression would be so full it was like a kiddie pool of leaves. Best place to go out on a cold overcast day and just relax. The smell of burning leaves was always in the air this time of year, The crisp breeze making a rustle of falling leaves through their neighbours. Autumn is without a doubt my all time favorite time of year.
