Laz' art thread

Hi lads and lasses and the awesomeness that is JJ. This is where I shall post any of my art if I do so. So I should start by posting something... What about this:

This is a pic based of a hobby I do called Warhammer 40k. I do things more realistically...ish.

Any comments and critisism is apprieciated.

You forgot the twin-mounted Bolters on the front...

Unless it's only Astartes with the Bolters.

Cool, but I think his knee looks kinda low placed. It might just be the way the armour is placed though.

Wish I could draw mechanical things like you do. Strange, symetric and cubical forms are fockin' challenge for me.

Yeah. I not Astartes, its an Arbitrator (think police) but he still is heavily armed.

The 'knee' is actually attached to the shin guard so it looks a little low.

Jah, I know it's Arbites, I'm just being picky because I recall all the bikes like that run twin bolters.

And I don't know why, but your drawings, maybe because of their style (especially the second one) remind me of an old Amiga 500 game called "Moonstone : A Hard Days Knight".

@ivix: I can try. I did a Mechanicus guardsman a while ago. Ill see if I can dig him up.

@Pietja: The first was a speed paint did you know. The second was my first try at digi painting.

i have a weird suggestion. Use the lines you did for the first one and do a digipaint on top. I think that would look rather good. The space knight thingy the hands bug me...seem a tad tiny for such a beasty character. keep it up. looking forward to seeing more.

The AH-12 is inspired by the Warhound Titan from 40k.

Great work man, I'm totally honest with that statement because I literally suck at drawing mechanical/cubical/symmetrical things.
And very good perspective on few of them, especially the second from the bottom.

Yes I was a LITTLE inspired by ODST. The armour patterns are awesome. But I see your meanings.
