If you have a 360 and you didnt get this. Your on lucky guy you are. My 360 got RROD right while I was playing Vikings: Call of Asgard or something like that.

if you happen to buy a new 360 get a refurbished one cause if it breaks down you can sue or something and they have to give you a new one. thats why mine hasnt brocken in the last 2 1/2 years

I know three guys that have Xbox 360 besides me, elite version. Nothing like that mythical RROD happened neither to them, neither to me.

I have my Xblox 360 for about two years now.

Get a patch,gents.Or install a linux...

Never got the RROD, but my 360 did go mental.
Was playing Arkham Asylum when the screen went all funky. Thought it was part of the game to start with (Damn Scarecrow) but when it wouldn't stop, I restarted the machine.
No image appeared. Only sound.
Had to get the thing fixed.

Ya, my baby (Xbox) also got the RROD. It caught the damn virus from the CoD Games. (World at War, to be precise)

Trust me, you will get it soon... Took mine about 3 years to get it.

My first 360 got RRoD. MS wouldn't fix it, said there was a sticker missing. From the inside.

Family 360's had no problems since they got it. My personal Elite 360 hasn't either.

I bought the 360 when it still had cheap parts. I brought it to the repair shop like 3 times. I gave up and just bought myself a PS3. Also I waste too much money buying batteries for the controllers for the 360. At least the PS3 has rechargable controllers

Too bad it's not "mythical," dude. My friend's 360 got that recently. You've only had it for two years. Give it time.

but you know what else is weird...my 360 used to get the RROD like 14 times a week. and i would just restart it.

Thing is, when I looked around Polish forums nobody had it. Not a single human unit. I know it's impossible for my country to have it lucky, but only two guys who had it ordered their Xbloxes from US. Curious .

Nah, wait, scratch that - I've found few who had it. But then again, MadGames store and Ultima store fix this stuff for a penny. Or, if shiet's too bad to fix they'll gladly buy it off. At least there's a small recompensation.

Nevertheless, my warranty expired and I read about how to prevent that stuff, so I think I'll play around with Microsoft's abomination in my free time. If I'll screw it, I'll screw it. Lately I don't play it at all after I've assembled my new PC. For 380$ I've got myself a real monster, although the casing & dvd drive are quite old.

And for the Xbolx, we'll see.

I've never had i personally, but one of my friends has had to three xbox's in a row. THREE WHOLE XBOX'S! I keep telling him to turn it off occasionally (he uses the power-pack as a foot warmer when he's on his PC), but no.
(This has also happened to two original xbox's, a gamecube, and a wii, and a ps3 slimline).
He hasn't got the hint.
I think he breathes sulfur or something!
