"Uszka" it's also a diminutive of plural form of "Ear"
And I wouldn't compare Uszki to a tortellini. At least close to my mother or she could kill you (she makes them herself as it's a traditional polish christmas food - borsht with uszka's filled with cabbage and shrooms - pure awesomness on tastebuds).
