Just to make the thread title absolutely clear...
Of course, JJ has a long history of taking memes and then subverting them. Look how he used the image of the Weighted Companion Cube, for an example. However, I have to say that these guys' looks and names can't be a coincidence.

Like any fan, I was just curious about the inner workings of JJ's mind as he creates, and the lack of male anthros in SA was something I just noticed.
Of course I've also come to realize that the same can be said for Chloe. Other than one or two drawings of Chloe teasing Art outside of the SA strip, Chloe never has "interactions" with human males (or females).
Again, this is just something I noticed.
