That's clever. Well now that that's cleared up, I think it looks really good. Name sounds like it fits, too. Came up with a last name, yet?

Not yet.... I actually only have a Last name for One of my Characters, And thats Nikolai.
I need a Last Name for...
1. Sam
2. Cloie
3. Meryl (just to have it, she is not going to be a character in my "sequential art" kind of comic. She is like Chloe in a way.)
4. Tia (debating on how to spell her first name...Tia or Teia)

For some reason, I'm feelin' Cloie Madison. Dunno why, I just like the ring.

but keep me posted on what you may come up with. And just so you know. Tia dose not have a real "story location" yet. She is not a specific character...yet...something may come up.

with last-names come backgrounds and vice-versa. if you come up with a background it might be easier for the names to come to you

Character Backgrounds
Nikolai Bartolf: Nikolai is a 17 year old genius, going to an Engineering, Arts, and Technology Collage in his home town. (No name or location yet). He is the top of his class and is usually focused only on his work. He shares a Dorm Room with (so far) 2 other people. His childhood best friend Sam, and a new girl that is a bit...dull and slow (Blond/redneck) named Cloie. He has a Computer companion that acts like his pet/friend, and his name is Click.

Sam: Sam is another student attending the same school as Nikolai, she is also 17 but was able to get into the collage early due to her Musical Talents. She is the lead guitar player and a singer of her band (no name yet, currently developing her band members.... maybe Tia can be apart of it...idk). Sam is lazy when it comes to her school work, and is all about partying. She only gets drunk at wild parties, but can still keep her dignity when it comes to casual drinking.

Cloie: (age-16)(not a student) Cloie is the rather "slow"..."retarded" acting one of the group. (think of that one show with a distinct character that is downright blond or retarded acting, but by being so, they are the most adorable character in the show.) She acts like a redneck and likes to have fun in the weirdest ways... like riding a golf-cart off the sand pits at a golf-course like she is a stunt rider. or rigging the golf-cart to have monster truck tires. She is just that One Retard that everyone loves...she will try to use a spatula as a fly swatter...and the fly is a big dragonfly.

what about their parents? are they rich? are the respected?

still in development... my not even show them. (debating on Nikolai's dad...)

Is Engineering, Arts, and Technology Collage a good college? do you have to be very well educated to get in?

no, Its just a collage for the hands on people. Artist, computer wizards, engineers, etc.

I suppose it isn't a really bad character type, but one that I don't prefer. It just seems like every story that includes one of those 'silly' characters ends up making them a retard.

No sorry. It could work, if done well, like actual scarlet. But more often than not such comic relief ends up annoying readers (ie me) more then comic relief.
