I've seen weirder.
Granted, it's mostly either deep sea creatures, or speculations on what prehistoric creatures looked like, but still weirder than a star-nosed mole.

Star-nosed moles just show us that no matter how weird our spec-evo imaginings are, nature is fully capable of one-upping us. Star-noses would look right at home with Snouters with the advantage that they're real.
