I think the gags on the stand alone strips generally work better than the gags used story arc drivern strips. Which is why Spider and Scorpion works so well per strip.

I agree, the stand alone strips are funnier than multiple-week stories. This one especially is hilarious!

I'm still in two minds as to what this strip was about. The most likely explanation is that she heard Pip polishing the ol' wand, something that has to border on the worst trauma imaginable. It is also possible that, with her enhanced hearing, she can hear all the little germs talking on his hands (sort of like those Domestos 24-hour adverts from about a year ago).

I want to make it clear at the point that I am happy with this ambiguity. I don't want to know the truth.
