How does cubeminer work?
Can you just build what you want, or do you have to fight after the grace period like Evony?

I've not actually played the game myself (so sad for me, truly) so nothing I say is written in stone. Here's just what I've surmised from watching tons of vids on it.

It's not really a combat oriented game, so to speak. The fact that you can find monsters to slay is really just a detail. The game can be played single player and the difficulty adjusted so that hostile mobs don't even spawn. It's more like The Sims in that it's basically a creativity toy with some enforced linearity. In The Sims you don't become a candy bar magnate without furiously practicing your skills and in Minecraft you don't get an epic fortress complete with a programmable mine cart transit system without gathering the necessary materials.

I don't understand neither Minecraft nor MLP and their communities.

Minecraft has a day-night cycle of about 20 minutes. Every night, it not only get hard to see, but monsters spawn, and you'd better have a shelter handy, be it a house you built, a secured cave or a simple hole in the ground if you don't have anything better. Also, there are monsters in the caves and in the dungeons you might find.
Alternatively, you can turn off the monsters and use an inventory hacker to get anything, but where's the fun in that?

So I could just build a castle around a great hall, and use it as a chat room so I and my friends could play Pathfinder. Maybe I could even start recreating The Cleaves. Can you modify monsters so they look like goblins or skeletons?
