I would go with SPECIAL (from Fallout series) - Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck; experience is granted for any skills and from any experience and the very number of skillpoints is related with Intelligence.

Their stats aren't "heavy"...... they're "generous"

I guess, a situation from Morrowind, where it's easier to gain stats after having practiced related skills (where swinging with sword 10 scores gives x5 to Strength point on a level-up)
