why the negativity?

I've been moosying around the forums and am shocked (no, sadly, not really) at the amount of whine, complaints and nagging going on.
Why?

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that certain users on this forum are huge jerks

It's probably due to impatience and anxiety over the fact that there hasn't been an update since the end of November.

This thread. This is the perfect example. You don't need to add to the whining. That said, I apologize, because I'm being kind of a hypocrite, but it IS the topic of the thread. Here's some advice to you forum-goers:

Try not to simply argue over the fact that people are arguing. The fewer posts that do this, the better. I try to ignore it, and either post something related to the original topic, or just walk away quietly.

In keeping with that philosophy, I kindly as that you let this thread die. Or maybe lock it up in quarantine.
