Okay, this is the point when we're reminded that Art and Pip are action heroes and have been blooded in combat before. I'm hoping that Art says something to Simon along the lines of: "You know, I don't know what the stuff you put in these darts would do to someone of your species and I'm rapidly running out of reasons not to find out. Are we talking the same language here?"

And, yes, Kat. You look totally badass. Bikini cat-girl with a carbine gun? It's pretty much an internet nerd's most fond dream!

Probably a stupid question, but if they needed the glasses to make the aliens true form visible before - why can they see their true form without them now?

Merely artistic license on JJ's part. We now know what the aliens are and so do our heroes. So, showing the aliens in their true form makes it easier for the reader to differentiate between human and alien characters.

FWIW, I suspect that Simon has a very, very odd story to tell that might make Art and Pip wonder again just who is the bad guy in this particular conflict.

Not too sure about the aliens big reveal though. Their still 2-1 up on Cameron in the bad guy stakes.
