Ever seen a spider run? I'd say it can go FAST.

First a TIE Interceptor at the superstore and now a spider-mech in the office parking lot? Let alone the alien invasion! Someone in a position of authority has got to realise that something is up in this town eventually!

BTW - Did the Quads also install spider-mech's weapons... similarly "upgraded"? If so, I imagine that Art will never have to wait for a parking spot ever again.

I was hoping the time machine from 807 was going kickoff a story arc but after waiting through the candy cane 2.0 and this robot walker stuff. I am now convinced the only fallout will be Pip's paypal account.

The only way this could be even better was if Art rode in a area in the back of it, as if it was a Tachikoma!

I was thinking Tachikoma myself. They could also roll up their "toes" for form wheels for faster speed on sealed surfaces.

Actually, in hindsight, it's hardly a modification, and more a complete rebuild that salvaged a "few" parts.

It's been a while since I last read the first GITS Manga volume, although I was fairly sure what was in the 3rd chapter (after all, who wouldn't remember), but I didn't remember what was in the 5th. So yes, 5C4RL37 could make something interesting using that reference.

Though unless it's a lot more nimble than it looks (which would require some means of keeping the pilot inside its passenger area not currently shown as the vehicle auto-spider-scuttled away from the impending impact) I can think of quite a few vehicle options I'd rather be in when faced with a motorway of British articulated vehicle (Artic trucks... what irony) drivers busily jack-knifing through every intersection and off every overpass with 2 cm of snow on the ground.

Frankly I'd rather be on the scooter. Mobility over armor when facing one of those beasties.

Unless of course off-road is an option... Hrm.

Chapter 5 is dedicated to process of making cyborgs and to futicomas' daily lives (they have own minds since they have artificial people inside - just like Major Kusanagi, but with no copy of real brain inside).
So 5C4RL37 would make something more useful than teeth augs.
