Might this lead to Art getting a car? I can totally see him looking through sports cars but getting a minivan.

Nope. Real men ask Scarlet to modify their motorcycle to make it safer. At least for the rider that is. Not too concerned about the rest of the people on the roads.

Pip has realised that, as close friend, he can be really, really annoying to his friends and confidently expect it to be ignored/forgiven. This strip is therefore an excellent example of the power of friendship at work.

I've actually seen the video Pip is talking about. It's real. It was shot from the dashcam of a state trooper if I remember right. That minivan just exploded when it was hit, t-boned by a big rig right in the passeger side sliding door. Doubt there were any survivors.

Wow, that's awful.
Fortunately, I have a full-sized van from the mid-50s with a steel frame and body, so it's far more likely that a semi would have a large, van-shaped depression in it before my van came to harm.

Seriously, I can drive though a brick wall with this thing.

Kinda wonder if this is Pip's way of expressing concern for Art's well-being, or trying to convince him to get something a little safer to drive.

Or Pip's Attempt to get Art to acquire something with a little more Cargo Capacity that Art's Scoot.

Pip does have stuff to get to the U-Ship Place after all...

I think that level of empathy is beyond Pip's capacity. He's gloating that he makes money without having to leave the house and go into that cold, dangerous world outside. Heck, he doesn't even have to leave the games room!

Of course, not leaving the house is a mixed blessing, given the number of times it has been attacked, invaded or has hosted an unstable space/time anomaly. It is also built on top of the catacombs run by a bunch of hyper-geniuses with no common sense. Me, I'd regard not spending time in such a home a holiday!

I had one joker do what Pip did to me.

He wore his lunch on his outfit the rest of the day. Evil or Very Mad
