So... that's it? That's... that's outrageous and audacious! Very Happy Jack has taken us through several months of angst about Hillary's true nature and then on a detour through temporaral physics only to press the reset button! Effectively nothing has changed!

(Of course, there's still the half-working time-machine in the basement and revelations about Hillary and Kat's shared past but that just goes into the 'continuity' file for later use)

Jack, you little bait-and-switch devil! Twisted Evil

Huzzah! Pip is restored. It seems that he's skipped the other stages of grief through the sheer strength of his greed.

Also, the most epic music played in my head when he donned his glasses.

That little trope that BenRG mentioned does suck a little enjoyment out of it, but come on, it's a comic! Comic strips are notorious for smashing the reset button like there's no tomorrow. Frankly, I'm glad JJ doesn't do it more often.

I didn't think I HAD hit the reset button.
Not intentionally, anyway.

Maybe I put my tea on it.....

Sequential Art is finally back, kids. The story arc that was dragging for forever with a very few highlighs is finally over. Never thought that emoutional arc involving our favorite characters (except Hilary) could be so boring, seeing how cleverly written Little Victory parts that are not about Vicky being adorable or/and badass.

So, in the end:

Will those historical artefacts fill the void in Pip's heart? With some nice cash? Probably, thought I don't think those will qualify in SA world as something other than faithfull replica, seeing the lack of aging.

Was Hilary's character expanded beyond what she was before? Probably not. We kinda get to know what was the triggering moment for her to become an asshole towards Kat, but she actually never did something more evil than before this arc. She was slutty and evil before, and she did nothing new.

I'm still sticking to the opining that the "big reveal" was a huge downer and the time travel concept had far more potential than it boiled down to. Probably JJ just saves some of his breath for his "big" projects, and is not going to expand this webcomic beyond what it actually is - loveable, cute, funny, sometimes bit boring, yet very simple, without actual conflicts or drama.

Keeping the story and the characters stale after half a year of ongoing plot is not a great thing. It ended almost like Twilight.

Strangely enough The Imperial March played and Pips glasses made the same noise as Vaders helmet.

We don't know for sure if this is "The End" as of yet, there may be more to it.

All the "Reset Button" discussion aside. Has anyone forgotten a certian Quad's promise to undo the "Itty bitty ding in the fabric of reality"?

What will Pip do when all that gear he's selling VIPs back to it's proper place in time? Will his account get suspended yet again, or will he have time (no pun intended) to cancel the auction with little or no reprecussions? If it's the latter, then Pip will just have to continue selling his usual collectables while lamenting how yet another financial golden opportunity slipped through his fingers (flippers?).

...so yeah, Reset Button.

Aaaand sooooo the reason for Pip not needing his glasses for a time was so that JJ could do a silly "representation of a stereotype through a visual gag" type of thing? I don't recall him ever doing anything like that before.

This is almost as random as the time Art and Pip attached themselves to the Buddy Bricks for no apparent reason.

Welcome back in business, Pip Smile .

Thinking about it, that's the best way this story arc could end. Maybe some sort of Epilogue for Hillary's new career and how the girls work out that time rip issue, but that's about it then.

Let a new story arc begin. Amen.

I´m okay with Pip getting his "pipishness" back, still the fact that Hilary didn´t pay leaves me grossly dissatisfied. I wanted to see her blood (ink, whatever), her floppy-eared head on a stake or at least se her defeated and humiliated, lying in the dust begging for mercy. Crushed, driven before Pip and hearing the lamentation of her (wo)men. That would be best in life.

Welp what I was thinking was pretty much said. PIP IS BACK IN BUSINESS and he hasn't changed a bit. B) Of course he never really changes; it's part of who/what Pip IS.

But also remember guys this story arc isn't over yet. There's still a chance that random objects will be displaced in time. I also see potential problems scattering said objects randomly via eBuy. This can only cause more trouble (for us readers that's a good thing :3).

Remember the squirrels saying nothing physical can travel back in time? Because those swords and stuff seem very physical to me. I think they're stuck in this time now.

Mh, Conchobhar's post in mind - was there a marking battle (which might went bad for the romans because of the sudden lack of equipment) in 306 AD? I'm not good in (roman) history so I seem to have missed the reference Sad .

i think there was a small battle at that time on a bridge getting to rome that allowed some guy to take power for about 8-10 years over the western half. the marching army was short handed so that is why they lost. i wonder what will happen if they teleport someone next time like say Elvis
