Job Centre Blues... HILARY?!?

Okay, firstly it's clear that Jack shares my attitude towards the British government's unemployment support system. Yeah, it's worth a shot but don't expect too much (I've never got a permanent job through the Job Centres myself). Secondly... WTF?!? Hilary unemployed? How is that even possible? At the very least she's got a known fall-back career that should be pretty-much recession-proof so long as she has little self-esteem!

So, could it be that Pip and Hilary are about to go on a crazy adventure through the bowels of the British state bureaucracy?

Well, I may not have experience with the British system, but I remember going to this place called "LaborReady" when I was desperate. Ugh, never again. Had to show up a around 4 or 5am just to have hope. And, of course, what you get is stuff fit for the dregs of society. Anyhow, let the shipping begin!

And yes, the job center is absolutely balls. I've never got a job through their services at all, only through doing my own individual job searches. I don't see myself getting one unless I create my own work. Time to dust Adobe Premiere Pro and that BA off and get back out there.

I presume you know Ann Winters is based on Ann Summers, a store which sells sex toys. I doubt they'd be upset if their employees were diddling on their own time. The general public arn't likely to know what work she does unless she told everyone.

Yep. And they started selling sex toys recently. Probably because women like to wear bras while they play with pastic rods.

I feel a little sorry (only a little sorry) for Hilary. Yeah, she's not the nicest of people, but to have your job taken away for something you did in the past (if that's what happened), kinda sucks. Still, it could just be a matter of karma. Of course the two people with the least amount of ethics teaming up has all sorts of potential.
