Would anyone be interested in an Android app for SA, because I was thinking of building one for personal use and was wondering if anyone would be interested in one or has been waiting for one.

If you are interested leave a comment and if you want to help email me at

wakoquacko(at)gmail(dot)com with SA app Dev in the subject line

Obviously I will be contacting the artist for permission of public use of the app

That would be interesting since I do use my phone a lot. What would it do, just format the strips to be easily viewable?

That would be useless for my phone. It's screen isn't big enough to appreciate a full sized webcomic strip at it's native resolution.

Sorry.

So you're interested in it despite your phone's screen being too small - or how does that answer the question of who would be interested in such an app?

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned 854x480 does work for me regarding comics...

np: Fluxion - Oblique (Vibrant Forms II (Disc 1))

it would be at first to simply push the image from the website onto your phone, im relativly new to android pograming and i thought this would be a good starting base.

starting features list:
image rendering and resizing
navigation buttons
links to the site and/or other collectedcurios webcomics

also do get in contact if you want to help

the first alpha app is done Very Happy

go to bit.ly/sa_app_v_1 on your phone to start the download

dont forget that this in alpha stages so not everything will work

So far:
on start up it goes to the first strip
navigating to strips below 100 wont work
the image will scale to your screen width and is not able to zoom or rescale yet

have fun and post feedback on what you think

Oh no, I'm not dismissing the idea of an app, it's just that a screen like an HTC Wildfire is a tad small for a web conic strip. You'd have to develop it for something larger.
