Which games are your most anticipated of the year? Let's have a nice, civil discussion. Once that clock strikes new year I'll reset the thread or make a new one depending on how well this one goes. NO fanboyism. Thankyou.

Starting off with Batman: Arkham City. Is anyone else anticipating? Should Rocksteady be made a UK national Treasure for being one of the best emerging UK developers? Has anyone else preordered the Collectors Edition?

Rant off!

I may be looking forward to Saints Row 3 more than Arkham City.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Rocksteady have fallen into the trap of thinking that everything needs to be bigger in a sequel and that the result will be a well meaning but flabby mess.
Too many villains killed the movies. It'll be the same with the games.
I hope I'm wrong.

Actually...

If anything AC is improved over the previous game. Batman himself has been improved in almost every way. I'm wondering if the Mr Freeze section is like the Scarecrow sections where you hide and get punished if you're seen?

Modern Warfare 3! Very Happy I'm actually more interested in the story of the single player campaign than the mindless blowing of peoples heads off on the online multiplayer

Saint's Row 3, yes, but I don't feel the need to pre-order it. UNLESS it comes with a 1-4 player co-op. then it's worth it.

Battlefield 3, on the other hand, I have not only pre-ordered, I have paid it all full, and eagerly await the chance to go postal on someone in a plane again! Not to mention all the things I like about BFBC2 are moving over to BF3. I am eagerly awaiting it. It just stinks there is a month and a half before it comes out.

To those who are gonna say "You idiot, that's already out," I'm anticipating finally being able to buy it because it's selling out faster than Jolly Jack would with a Little Victory movie deal. I'm certain the only reason I was even able to rent it is because I did it the very MORNING it was released, and even then I had to put down a $20 deposit.

Trackmania 2: Canyon.

Of course, it's already been released this Wednesday - and it's awesome... Smile

Some I'm looking forward too.

Firstly, Batman:AC. Loved the look and feel of AA, and completed it so many times, and completed again this month, in prep for AC. Hoping AC will be just as fantastic. Been keeping away from anything that spoils this game for me. So it'll be a exciting and shocking on who's in it. Very Happy

Secondly, is a little bit of an unknown series. Disgaea 4, A Promise Unforgotten. So a bit of background about the Disgaea games. It's a Tactical RPG game (like Final Fantasy tactics), which is heavy on the grinding. Heavy on Parody and comedy. Heavy on Bright and bouncy graphics. I love the series, (except 2....took me many a years three years to force myself to beat the game). You don't need to play the other games in the series to play this one, but it's helpful. And Disgaea one does go into depth in a creature called a Prinny (they're adorable), but it's not needed to enjoy the other games. Disgaea one is available on PS2/PSP/DS. Disgaea Two is available on PS2/PSP and Disgaea 3/4 is available on PS3. With lots of hidden content, and lots to do. It's a fantastic series. (Four is yet to be released in the UK, but I've ordered an US import, which should come any day now Dood.)

Elder Scolls V: Skyrim.....do I really need to explain this game? And why I'm anticipating it.....really?.....Also little fact that I've not completed IV yet.....working on that as I type.

And finally....Assassin's Creed Revelations. Again. All games have been great so far. Easy to play style, makes me want to go and learn parkour every time I play it.
