No, I think that it is more likely that it will be outfitted with an electromagnetic field manipulator so it can move itself, powered by a micro-miniturised nuclear pile, of course, and all controlled with a sophisticated AI. Naturally, it will try to take over the world. affraid

Whatever it will be, Art will be in pain, and then a bit of a wanker until Kat smooths his ruffled feathers... of course Kat being Kat she'll be liable to rip them out and play with them.... erm feathers that is.

I must say, I enjoy Amber's "back of shirt" circle. It's cute somehow.

Oh, no. It's the first step. The first step in engineering! No good can come of this!

1. Identify problem
2. Develop practical solution to problem
3. Distribute practical solution.

They have no concept of "practical"! Fortunately, they have no concept of step 3, either, so the damage should be localized.

EDIT: also, why are there three versions of this topic?

i made mine like a minute before Xenathos'. Not a clue about Ben's. We tried to pre-empt one another. I think.

and yes, it IS the first step. This is the same thought proceses that brought forth both Ap'pole tree of mutou joos and the Robocop/iron manSquirrel Scarlet. Mecha Slinky! Transform and roll out. ... Then the Denziens have to rebuild the stairs... And Kat tells Art she told him so again.

Moral: Don't have a "cutting the ribbon" ceremony for a space elevator.

At last! Science and actual hard figures! This is the sort of quantitative analysis that this thread needs!

Yep. Now imagine that "kitty" was about 5 feet tall, and stacked like a brick outhouse...

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the one, the only, the original, Thomas Jefferson's own BRICK OUTHOUSE! (Actually there are two, one at each end of the main building.)
